The regular version is the mostly used configuration. It is designed to gives approximately 3 inch of adjustment range from stock ride height on most application. In default configuration, the spring rate used is the best to keep a close to OEM comfort level while improving handling performance and reducing suspension travel. It can also be customized with different spring rate for spirited driving or occasional track use. Regular version is normally designed to reach up to a tire to fender fitment at the lowest ride height setting.
Our low version is ideal for a tighter fitment and larger wheels. The 15-20% stiffer spring rate used significantly reduce the suspension travel to prevent rubbing issues when you plan to ride pretty low, tuck the tires or use aggressive offset where the wheel poke out of the fender. It’s still comfortable for street use but certainly feels a bit sportier. The low version use components to give 1 to 1.5 extra inch of drop compared to the regular version of the same application. This means the tire can be partially hidden into the fender at lowest setting but will stay 1-1.5 inch lower than factory ride height when adjusted at highest setting.
Extreme low version is mainly for show cars, static fitment, aired-out style and setups requiring close to no suspension movement. The comfort level vary depending on the used spring rate but it certainly feel stiff and a bit bouncy. This version is always customized to each customer needed ride height and fitment. We have no default spring rate for this application so you can already have your rate in mind or ask our sales team to help you figure the best spring rate for your wheels/ride height combo. Some application can use our stiffer SCALE springs but most will also require Swift springs to get the needed spring rate and length for the asked fitment.

Camber Plates

It allow to easily adjust front camber back to manufacturer specification after lowering your car or add more camber if your wheel specs cause minor rubbing issues. Adjustment range vary depending of the design used for each application.

Gravitational Bearing

Add a bearing between the camber plate and the spring

This option, made to be used with camber plates, allow the strut to turn freely when turning the wheels. It reduce the friction normally applied to the camber plate spherical bearing and and will ensure smooth operation for longer. The sealed bearing is made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance.

Springs upgrade

Keep default spring rate from the selected version. The spring rate for is version is selected to keep optimal comfort and prevent rubbing in the drop range each version offer.
We can change the spring rates and damping based on your needs. Scale don't have as many length and rate as Swift springs so make sure the asked spring rate is possible with your selected version. If you have specific needs but have no spring rate in mind, please email us. (No additional costs)
Made in Japan with high quality material, Swift offer a large range of rate and size. Well known for the precision of their rates in racing or large range of crazy rates in short springs for extreme fitment, these are top of the line in linear springs. This option may be needed on some extreme low version. Email us for additional information on the rate to fit your needs.

About this coilover

The SCALE BMW M4 14-20 (F82/83) INNOVATIVE SERIES COILOVER coilover is fully adjustable and customizable to fit each customer's needs.

This coilover suspension upgrade is designed to achieve a perfect balance of street comfort and increased performance. This suspension system allows you to easily adjust your ride height while improving handling performance of your car.

Our patented scaled system design allows easier and more precise adjustment and ensures equal height on each corner. Each shock is equipped with 24 levels of dampening adjustment to fine-tune the valving efficiency.

The Part : BM29-IS coilover shocks are handcrafted and assembled to your specs at SCALE facilities.

This model front Macpherson configuration comes with adjustable camber plate front top mounts to set your desired camber specs and avoid excessive tire wear. We recommend using the gravitational bearing option to reduce the effort of the camber plate.

This rear divorced spring configuration uses a linear spring. Custom spring rate or length is not a problem.

Shock has no direct impact on wheel alignment, so if you need more adjustment than what your car offers from factory, you can check if a specialized company offers adjustable control arms.

Our mono-tube shock absorber are using high-quality CNC piston valves, synthetic oil and high-pressure nitrogen gas contained within one tube.
